Frequently Asked Questions – DTF Transfers | Supreme Transfers
Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question about ordering DTF transfers or UV DTF stickers from Supreme Transfers in Richardson, TX? We've answered the most common ones below.
What are DTF transfers?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are full-color prints made on a special film with heat-activated adhesive. You apply them to fabric using a heat press at 320°F for 10–15 seconds. They work on cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, denim, and more — on any color garment.
Do you have a minimum order?
No minimums at all. You can order a single transfer or hundreds — we charge by the sheet area you use, not per design.
What is a gang sheet?
A gang sheet is a single sheet of film that holds multiple designs arranged together. Pack as many designs as possible onto one sheet to lower your cost per transfer. Use our Gang Sheet Builder to arrange designs, or upload a pre-built file.
Can I pick up my order the same day?
Yes! Same-day pickup is available Monday–Friday for orders placed before noon at our Richardson, TX location — minutes from Dallas, Plano, and Garland.
What file types do you accept?
We accept PNG and PDF files at 300 DPI or higher. PNG files should have a transparent background (not white) to ensure clean edges on your final transfer.
What are UV DTF stickers?
UV DTF stickers are peel-and-stick transfers for smooth hard surfaces — tumblers, mugs, glass bottles, metal water bottles, phone cases, and more. No heat press required. Waterproof, scratch-resistant, and dishwasher-safe (top rack).
How long do DTF transfers last?
With proper application and care, premium DTF transfers last 50–100+ washes. Apply at 320°F for 12–15 seconds, peel while warm, and finish with a 5-second final press. Wash garments inside-out in cold water to extend print life.
What heat press settings should I use?
320°F (160°C), firm pressure, 10–15 seconds. Peel while warm, then do a final press with parchment paper for 5 seconds. For polyester, lower temperature to 300°F.
Do you ship outside of Dallas?
Yes — we ship anywhere in Texas and nationwide. Dallas-Fort Worth customers can also pick up same day in Richardson, TX.
How is DTF different from screen printing?
Screen printing requires setup fees and minimum orders (12–24 pieces). DTF has no setup fees, no minimums, unlimited colors, and works on any fabric color. For most small businesses and custom orders, DTF is the smarter choice.
